Description
A service patrol is contracted in Waukesha County to patrol Interstate Highway 94. Based on future needs, WisDOT reserves the right to shift patrol services to Intersate Highway 43 in Waukesha County. The patrol service provides expeditious relocation of disabled and crashed vehicles, and small non-hazardous debris, from highways or freeways. The goal is reducing crashes, traffic delays, and congestion. The contract's estimated start date is October 4, 2005 and will extend for approximately 1 year. The contract includes two (2) option contract continuation periods, which may be exercised, for one-year extensions each. The first extension has already been granted.
